Many infertile couples plan to use in vitro fertilization (IVF) to help conceive after learning about the efficacy of IVF. However, not everyone is suitable for in vitro fertilization, and some situations still need to be observed.
IVF requires the female to be physically healthy and the male to have no infectious diseases. At present, we need to confirm that we are legally married before we can conceive. People who undergo in vitro fertilization surgery need to meet certain conditions to ensure the success rate of the surgery.
In the first few months of preparing for IVF, both parties should quit smoking, drinking, and betel nuts, maintain sufficient sleep, live a regular life, be energetic, have a happy mood, and develop good bowel habits. In addition to physical and mental health and no genetic diseases, both spouses should not be too old, especially the woman should not exceed the age of 40. If a woman is too old, the ovarian response to medication will decrease, the number of eggs will decrease, the quality of eggs will also decrease, the fertilization rate and pregnancy rate will decrease, and the abortion rate and fetal malformation rate will be higher than that of young women. And the woman needs to be physically healthy, mentally normal, and able to withstand pregnancy and childbirth; Normal ovarian function, capable of producing healthy and mature eggs; The uterus is normal and there are physiological periodic changes in the endometrium, which can undergo embryo transfer, implantation, and growth. Infertile couples under the age of 40 must have an ID card, marriage certificate, and birth certificate; Both men and women have no history of mental illness or hereditary diseases and can actively cooperate with various clinical surgeries.
In addition to the above conditions, attention should also be paid to in vitro fertilization. In clinical practice, infertility caused by fallopian tubes, unexplained infertility, endometriosis, male infertility (severe oligospermia or azoospermia, requiring testicular or epididymal puncture for sperm collection), abnormal ovulation (usually without mature follicle growth after ovulation promotion treatment), and cervical infertility that cannot conceive after other conventional treatments are all indications for IVF-ET.
