In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a new assisted reproductive technology that can bypass many difficult and difficult infertility conditions that cannot be completely cured under traditional circumstances, and directly impregnate the female partner through in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer. But for the emergence of a new technology, most people are skeptical, and there have even been some rumors about in vitro fertilization online. Some people say that 90% of babies born from in vitro fertilization are not their own babies. If an assisted reproductive technology makes children born without their own, then this assisted reproductive technology itself has little significance. Is it a rumor that 90% of IVF is not their own, or is it true?

About us(图1)

1、 The principles of in vitro fertilization technology

In vitro fertilization (IVF) technology is a relatively advanced assisted reproductive technology, which is generally used only for patients with various infertility conditions who want to give birth to a healthy baby. In vitro fertilization (IVF) technology is divided into three generations, with progress made between each generation. The first generation of IVF involves removing an egg from the female partner's body through ovulation induction, combining it with the male partner's sperm outside the body, and then cultivating it outside the body for a period of time. After the embryo is formed, it is re implanted into the female partner's body. If the embryo can be successfully implanted, the embryo is successfully conceived. The main improvement of the second generation IVF technology compared to the first generation is in terms of fertilization. Doctors will select a deformed and energetic sperm from the male partner's sperm, and then fertilize it through single sperm injection to ensure normal fertilization of the embryo. The third generation in vitro fertilization technology not only allows for single sperm injection, but also screens the DNA of embryos to ensure that the final embryos used are healthy and free from genetic diseases. Therefore, the third generation in vitro fertilization technology can enable parents with genetic diseases to give birth to healthy and disease-free offspring!

2、 90% of IVF babies are not their own?

There is a saying circulating online that believes that 90% of IVF babies are not their own. This is actually a quite big rumor. Currently, there are not thousands or tens of thousands of families nationwide who have undergone in vitro fertilization. Aren't these vast number of in vitro fertilization babies owned by parents themselves? This is obviously impossible. Although this rumor is absurd, it is true that such accidents have occurred. During the artificial process of in vitro fertilization in IVF, it is indeed possible that due to human negligence, embryos may be mixed up, resulting in IVF not being their own type of accident. But now the technology of in vitro fertilization is quite mature, and in most cases, high-tech methods such as computer control are still used to preserve and transport embryos. The probability of accidents is less than one in ten million, and families who use in vitro fertilization do not have to worry about the occurrence of such extremely unlikely accidents. If parents are not at ease, they can go to a professional institution for paternity testing after the child is born. If there are any problems, the relevant IVF institution will bear full responsibility.

Some rumors about demonizing IVF cannot be believed, as most of these rumors have no scientific basis and are simply following the crowd.
